After all of this birth certificate nonsense started making headlines again, I was compelled to make a new and improved digital version of a theme park sample I drew 2 years ago. Mere hours after I finished this and shared it with the Facebook world, Obama made an announcement that pretty much "trumps" the whole birth certificate thing. Hah! Get it?! See what I did there?

It might be common knowledge by this point, but be sure to click on the image for a better view! This was derived from a page of sketchbook monsters I found from last summer. I thought it would be fun to "vector-ize" him, and I've been wanting for too long to get back into making monsters. They were always a nice break from making people.

I'm not entirely keen on the background. The idea is there, but I almost had a migraine futzing with variant after variant, until I called it quits. Fast decision-making has been a life-long battle for me.

This is probably the closest I will ever come to campaigning for someone's vote. Ben Martin, a buddy of mine who moved out to Los Angeles a couple years ago (where he belongs), has made a fake trailer for the Hobo with a Shotgun Trailer Contest, and is now in the Top 5. He missed some valuable voting time because his trailer made it in after someone else was disqualified. Why he didn't make the Top 5 in the first place is beyond me, but justice has been served.

Started this one of Minneapolis' golden boy nearly a year ago, so it definitely qualifies for the ongoing series Better Late Than Never: Finishing Projects From The Back-burner. Finished it last week and forgot to share it here.

This is acrylic, 11" x 14". I won't bore you with all the pissing and moaning about how unhappy I was with the way some of the colors came out in the scan and how much time I spent trying to fix it in photoshop before giving up.
