Happy Birthday Zack Ward

"Scut Farkus! What a rotten name! We were trapped. There he stood, between us and the alley. Scut Farkus staring out at us with his yellow eyes. He had yellow eyes! So, help me, God! Yellow eyes!"

Happy Birthday Lewis Black

I kind of shat this one out pretty fast, as I am tired of slipping behind on these things.

Happy Birthday Michael Jackson

A lot of friends have asked why I haven't drawn Michael Jackson yet. It was because I knew he had a birthday coming soon enough. So here it is.

Happy Birthday Jack Black (8-28-09)

Happy Birthday Paul Reubens (8-27-09)

Looks like I planned my trip to Los Angeles a month to soon.

Hapy Birthday Macaulay Culkin

I may have missed this one. He still looks exactly the same as he always has, but a wee bit creepier. I think I made him look too old. This was taken from a mugshot, most likely from when he got arrested for possession of marijuana.

Happy Birthday Tim Burton (8-25-09)

Happy Birthday Yasser Arafat

The handsome version of Ringo Starr would have hit the big 8-0 today.

Happy Birthday Henry Lee Lucas (8-23-09)

And this makes my first serial killer birthday drawing. This man inspired the film Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer, in my opinion one of the scariest (at the same time funniest) horror films ever made. He kind of looks like an endearing, competent version of Hugh Grant.

Happy Birthday Ray Bradbury

I'm guilty of having never read any of his books, but I did see the movie adaptation of Something Wicked This Way Comes, which is by far the scariest live action Disney film I've ever seen. I remember even as a 1st grader finding it unbelievable that it was a Disney film. Great film though. See it!

Happy Birthday Jim McMahon (8-21-09)

The former Bear, Eagle, Viking, Charger and Packer hit the big 5-0 yesterday.

And now for something really embarrassing. Remember this?

Happy Birthday Patrick Swayze

I'm glad he could make it to 57. In the great words of Dalton from Road House, "Pain don't hurt."

Happy Birthday Robert De Niro (8-17-09)

New theme park sample

No time for a birthday drawing today, so instead I thought I should show off my latest sample for our booth at Nickelodeon Universe. My last Obama drawing was put up the day after he was elected. I've been aware for a while now that it was a steaming pile of crap, and was in dire need of a replacement. So here it is!

Happy Birthday Sam Elliot

The voice of the Beef Council turns 65 today.

Happy Birthday Dustin Hoffman

72?! I had no idea he was that far up there already.

Happy Birthday Garrison Keillor (8-07-09)

When A Prairie Home Companion came to my hometown last Spring, my stepmother Maureen was lucky enough to be selected to appear on the show. I have to say she did a great job of describing our town in a way that was perfect and fitting for the format of the show. Hear it here.

On a sidenote, this man has way too much going on with his features, and I'm afraid I didn't explore them enough. I was trying to keep "human pug with a mesmerizing voice" in mind, but I really need to push it more next time.

Happy Birthday James Hetfield

Interesting this guy should be a Leo, because I always thought he looked like the Cowardly Lion. He looks a little different nowadays without his mustache, though.

HONORABLE MENTIONS:

Martha Stewart-68
John Landis-59 (director of such greats like Trading Places, Animal House, Michael Jackson's Thriller video, etc.)
Tom Brady- 32
Evangeline Lilly- 30 (Kate Austen from LOST)
ME!- 30
