Elvis #366. The End.

And this forever concludes my Elvis-a-day task, challenge, deadwieght, etc. 366 Elvi in the can (and never once repeated an image)! Don't ask, "Why the extra one?", for this was a leap year.

Perhaps it will seem more satisfactory to potential viewers if I'm actually posting something EVERY (or every other) day. No, I will not keep drawing Elvis in 2009, but the drawing each day goal will continue. I have won the battle for now, but the war must go on...

Elvis #350 (aka Milestone VII)

The final "Milestone Elvis" of the year. #366 will obviously be the biggest landmark for me, but this is officially the last "milestone", in that it was something to be proud of each time I completed another 50.

Keeping with the routine of having an animal in each Milestone Elvis drawing (#'s 50 and 100 were coincidental and started the tradition), here he is with the beast that shares the same name with Elvis' best selling single of all time.

Elvis of the Day #100

I draw Elvis every day, and have not stopped since the 1st of the New Year. Today is the 100th day of 2008.

Why Elvis? There's an abundance of reference photos available, and for years I've been trying to draw something every day, even when I don't feel like it. So why not have a theme? I figured a day-by-day desk calendar would be a good start, and how great would it be to have 365 Elvi at the end of the year?! From here on I will post the ones I like (past or present).

I'm not entirely happy with this one. His chin is too pointy, the ear is all wrong, the folds in his jacket are weak, and I generally suck at profiles. But I had to post this, for #100 is quite the milestone.
