Phew! Only 31 more birthday drawings. Almost...there.

Happy Birthday Maria Shriver

I think I may have made her look like too much of a Jackson, and not enough like Skeletor. Better luck next time.

Happy Birthday Tony Dungy

This guy mad it impossible for me to hate the Colts, but now that he isn't coaching anymore, down with the Colts! But more importantly, down with Peyton Mannning!

Happy Birthday Glenn Danzig (6-23-09)

Yesterday was one heck of a day for metal birthdays. Chuck Billy (vocalist of Testament) turned 47, Slash turned 44, but it doesn't get much more manlier or metal than a big bicep in your face from the 54 year old Glenn Allen Anzalone Danzig.

Happy Birthday Michael Rooker

Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer is still one of the scariest horror films I've ever seen. And maybe one of the most amusing. But that's just me. Rooker was also pretty disgusting and hilarious in Slither. Both films worth checking out if you have the time!

Happy Birthday Bruce Willis (3-19-09)

Co-founder of the crumbling Planet Hollywood turned 54 yesterday. There is something quite satisfying about drawing Bruce Willis pointing a gun while listening to the new Mastodon album.

But goddamn it I slave over drawing hands too much. I probably spend more time on that than I do trying to get a likeness, and it doesn't even look that good in the end. Looking at it now, I realize they should have been drawn larger based on the perspective I'm working with.

Happy Birthday Gilbert Gottfried

Even though the stupid parrot he voiced in Aladdin completely defaced the Enchanted Tiki Room in the most shameless and disgusting "upgrade" or refurbishment any Disney World attraction has ever undergone, Gilbert Gottfried is still pretty funny.

I had no idea he was capable of being funny until I saw him at the Comedy Central Roast of Bob Saget. Here are 2 short jokes from that.
*WARNING: It might offend!

Happy Birthday Kelsey Grammer (2-21-09)

He is 54. He is the voice of Sideshow Bob, hence the shadow. Nothing too original about that, but it's what I felt like doing.

Happy Birthday Miguel Ferrer

Miguel Ferrer is 54 today. He has starred in numerous TV shows and lent his voice to several cartoons. He played one of my favorite characters from Twin Peaks, Albert Rosenfield. Albert was a wise-cracking FBI agent who couldn't get along with anyone, and as Agent Cooper warned Sheriff Truman, "lacks some of the social niceties".

Here's a minute of one of my favorite Albert moments:

Happy Birthday, Rowan Atkinson

I have seen one too many caricatures of this guy (who turns 54 today) and I tried my damnedest not to be influenced by them. I kind of see Mr. Bean as the cop-out caricature (like Keith Richards or Michael Jackson), in that most artists can put little effort into the drawing, yet almost anyone will still recognize who it is. I kind of struggled with this one, because he has almost TOO much to work with.
