Thought it was time to dig up some unfinished digital art, and finish it. Based on a character from one of my favorite defunct Comedy Central shows.

Prince

Started this one of Minneapolis' golden boy nearly a year ago, so it definitely qualifies for the ongoing series Better Late Than Never: Finishing Projects From The Back-burner. Finished it last week and forgot to share it here.

This is acrylic, 11" x 14". I won't bore you with all the pissing and moaning about how unhappy I was with the way some of the colors came out in the scan and how much time I spent trying to fix it in photoshop before giving up.

Javier Bardem

...as the iconic Anton Chigurh from No Country For Old Men. This is from my on-going series I like to call Better Late Than Never: Finishing Projects From The Back-burner. This is acrylic, 11" x 14" before cropping it in photoshop.

Christian Bale

Here he is as Dicky Eklund from The Fighter, a very great Oscar worthy film. I haven't seen everything that is generating Oscar buzz, but Christian Bale stands a good chance of getting his first long overdue, well-deserved nomination, and hopefully a win.

This is acrylic on illustration board, 11" x 14". I say it all too often, but after staring at this for too long I'm not 100% sure about the likeness. If you haven't seen the movie, keep in mind he lost a considerable amount of weight to play a malnourished crack addict.

Jay Cutler

Something compelled me to do a painting of everyone's favorite pouty dope faced quarterback. As is usually the case, this is 11" x 14" acrylic on board.

As part of a New Year's resolution that will be heavily focused on finishing what I start (preferably in a timely fashion), this is the beginning of a series I'd like to call "Better Late Than Never: Finishing Projects From The Back-burner."

Anyone who knows who this is won't need me to explain his story, but this painting was started the same week the Vikings (namely Brad Childress) mysteriously released Moss after he rejoined the team for only 4 weeks.

Needless to say, this would have been a bit more topical had it been executed the same week it was started, hence the title of this series.

Leslie Nielsen

Played around with acrylic on chipboard for the first time in a year last night. Finished this morning as The Naked Gun played on Comedy Central. I'd like to think they'd be playing it even if Leslie Nielsen didn't pass away only two days ago. It must have been at least the 50th time I've seen them air it this year.
